Tattoo Apprenticeship Course

Build Your Career in Professional Tattooing

Our Tattoo Apprenticeship Course provides a structured, hands-on pathway into the tattoo industry. The program covers essential skills including hygiene certification, machine operation, and artistic development — preparing you for a professional career in tattooing.

Unlike short online courses, our apprenticeship takes place in a real working studio environment. You will gain practical experience alongside experienced artists, ensuring you develop real-world skills from day one.

This is a paid course. You will receive one-on-one training and hands-on practice from the very beginning — no wasted time.

Outstanding students will be offered the opportunity to continue working in our studio after completing the apprenticeship.

What You Will Learn

• Studio hygiene & sterilization standards (Australian regulations compliant)
• Infection control & safe skin practices
• Tattoo machine setup, tuning & maintenance
• Needle configurations & ink knowledge
• Line work, shading & black & grey techniques
• Design fundamentals & stencil preparation
• Client consultation & aftercare guidance
• Professional workflow & studio etiquette

Program Duration

The apprenticeship typically runs between 12–24 months, depending on your progress, dedication, and skill development. However, here is no fixed schedule or time pressure — you can progress at your own pace.

Progression is performance-based and self-paced. Both full-time and part-time options are available, making it suitable for those who wish to explore tattooing while maintaining a full-time job.

Students must meet studio standards before working on clients, with all work conducted under supervision. High-performing students may be ready to begin supervised work on real clients within approximately 3–6 months.

You will gradually progress from theory and practice on synthetic skin to supervised work on real clients once the required skill level is achieved.
